After completion of Higher Secondary Certificate Exam, Sqn Ldr Sayed joined Bangladesh Air Force & was commissioned in GD (P) Branch in 1987. He was awarded with Sword-of-Honor, COAS Gold Medal and Commandant’s Trophy for his outstanding performance in different categories. He was also awarded with Mofiz Trophy during Flying Instructors’ Course in 1992. After completing 10 years of commissioned service, he retired in 1997 and started his career as businessman in real estate sector.

Northern Foundation was formed in 1997 under his leadership and started building residential apartment complexes mostly in the DOHS areas. Since then the company has completed 7 apartment complexes and handed over to its buyers. At present the company has 17 residential & commercial projects under construction in different locations of Dhaka & Chittagong Areas.

In the year 2001, Mr. Sayed with his other associates established a concrete block manufacturing company named Rupshi Concrete Products Ltd, second of this kind after Concord. The company now manufactures different concrete products like Partition Block, Roof Block, Pavement Block, Kerb Stone etc.

Mr. Sayed is involved with Real Estate & Housing Association of Bangladesh (REHAB) & at present he is the Organizing Secretary of REHAB.

Sqn Ldr Sayed was married and father of a daughter.
